This project consisted of aerial surveying for shoreline stabilization. A homeowner on the shoreline of Lake Michigan noticed the bluff face was being eroded from wave action. The homeowner contacted a shoreline stabilization contractor from Traverse City, whom then contacted us.
M.E. conducted a UAV aerial survey of approx. 300ft long of the bluff. We found an area that was unstable and heavily eroded by the wave. Aerial photos of the bluff were processed to generate a 3D model of the inaccessible bluff face. The 3D model aided in analysis and development of a sustainable solution.
